Congrats to the Kahuku Red Raiders for shutting out the Governors en route to their record setting 22nd OIA Title. After what happened last season, this game meant more than a rivalry game for the conference title. Kahuku responded with their best performance of the season. OIA Championship Announcement and More

The last time Kahuku and Farrington met, it was for the OIA East Crown in a game that was packed before halftime of the JV game. At 7pm on Friday night, with the venue at Aloha Stadium, the stage is bigger. With the #1 spot in next weeks state tourney and an OIA Championship, the stakes are bigger. With 2 of the most passionate fan bases in the state and OC16 streaming the game live, the crowd will be bigger. With 2 of the best smashmouth teams in the state, the hits will be bigger. There is also a pep rally at the Kahuku High School gym at 1:45 pm on Friday. Look on facebook for a group called “Red Alert” for specific details about the event.

Game Announcements (Oct. 28 & 29, 2011)

The best defense in the state will try to shutdown the highest scoring offense in the state as our Kahuku Red Raiders will take on the undefeated Leilehua Mules in the OIA Red Semifinals. The winner of this game will secure a berth in next months state playoffs along with a spot in next weeks OIA championship. The game will be at the stadium at 4:30pm HST today. Kahuku is assigned to sit on the mauka side, the side closest to Kaneohe. For the 1st time this season our game will be televised and streaming on OC16. Tomorrow our JV team will be in a rematch with Waianae in their OIA semifinal match up. They beat Waianae back in August and look to repeat that tomorrow. The game will be at Kahuku, 2pm on Saturday. KahukuNation will be there to film and we’ll give you a heads up if we’re going to have our update specialist there to update the game. Support our boys and GO BIG RED!!!

OC16.tv has stated that they’ll broadcast the Girls VB game tonight at 7pm HST. This game is the 1st round of the state playoffs in a single elimination format.

Game Announcement (Oct. 21, 2011) and Updated Playoff Brackets

The road to the State Playoffs starts in Kahuku on Friday the 21st when it’s win or go home for both the JV and Varsity teams. The games start at 5pm when the JV takes on the Aiea Na Ali’i. Following that, the┬áVarsity will go for Round Two against the Waianae Seariders, whom the Red Raiders blanked 26-0 back in August. This game will not be on OC16 but follow us on Twitter or Facebook for live, detailed, in-game updates if you can’t make it.
